X-WR-CALDESC:It is with great dismay that we must postpone the Winter White
  Gala scheduled to be held on Saturday\, December 2\, due to logistical ch
 allenges beyond our control. \n\nWe were privileged to join forces with th
 e Taylor House Museum for this year’s event. We always welcome the opportu
 nity to work with other non profits for a common purpose. The Taylor House
  Museum is gearing up to become a wonderful wedding and event venue in Ber
 lin\, and we hoped to be able to showcase the location by holding our annu
 al gala on their lawn\, and celebrate the unwavering spirit our community 
 has for giving back\, especially at this time of year. \n\nThere are alway
 s anticipated challenges when holding an outdoor event in December. We exp
 ected to be able to circumvent any issues in an accessible and affordable 
 manner. Unfortunately\, we were unable to procure an attainable solution g
 iven the time of year and the condition of the ground as a result. Any com
 mitment you make to an event we hold is to be dispersed towards our missio
 n to support families in our community\, not towards event logistics. We t
 herefore had to make the very hard decision to postpone our event.\n\nWhil
 e we would love the opportunity to celebrate with all of you this holiday 
 season at a winter gala\, we feel it is in the best interest for all that 
 we postpone this fundraiser until the spring. We hope to be able to announ
 ce an exact date shortly after the New Year. \n\nWe are grateful to our st
 aff\, our event committee\, our volunteers\, and sponsors. We really can’t
  say enough about the level of commitment from our restaurant partners. \n
 \nFor all of you who hoped to attend\, or already committed\, we thank you
 . Please know that your contributions matter so much to our organization. 
 When we hold our next event\, your support will be counted on.  \n\nTicket
  holders and sponsors will be issued a full refund for the amount paid. We
  hope that you will join us again at the Taylor House Museum in the spring
 .  \n\nDespite the regret we have regarding the postponement of our gala\,
  we would like you to know that we have major announcements coming in the 
 near future. Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County is a committed commu
 nity partner. We are very excited for 2018\, and hope that you will join u
 s by any means possible.  \n\nWe appreciate each and every one of you. Wit
 hout your commitment and generous support\, we would not be able to fulfil
 l our mission of building homes\, communities and hope.\n\n
