Amazing volunteers of all ages got to work on our latest A Brush With Kindness Project for the Pizzas of West Ocean City! Berlin Boy Scout Troop 225, under the direction of Habitat Board Member and construction chair Clint Bickford, started the 3-phase project by trimming and removing overgrown trees, bushes and yard debris. Then Berlin Girl Scout Troop 365, directed by Habitat Board President Jon Barker and Laura Barker, came in to weed and remove old flower beds and lay grass seed. For the final phase, Keller Williams Realty Delmarva associates and staff chose to "Give Where They Live" as part of RED Day, the Keller Williams annual day of service.

The goal of the project was to make the outside area as maintenance free as possible while also creating additional opportunities for accessibility to address the homeowners' needs. Thank you to all of the scouts and real estate industry partners who got right to work helping out members of their community!

After a year of being "safer at home" due to COVID-19, many of us have developed a new appreciation of the value of home, and a new awareness that not everyone has a safe home to enjoy.  Since the pandemic prevents us from gathering in large groups for traditional fundraising events, we invite you to Help Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County in our mission to build homes, communities, and hope by participating in the Hello Spring! Virtual 5K Family Fun/Run Walk.

The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open for in-person shopping Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9AM to 2 PM.  Donation drop-offs can be accepted Wednesdays through Fridays from 10AM to 1 PM.  All donation procedures still apply; visit our donations page to find out more!
