After a year of being "safer at home" due to COVID-19, many of us have developed a new appreciation of the value of home, and a new awareness that not everyone has a safe home to enjoy. Since the pandemic prevents us from gathering in large groups for traditional fundraising events, we invite you to Help Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County in our mission to build homes, communities, and hope by participating in the Hello Spring! Virtual 5K Family Fun/Run Walk.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is open for in-person shopping Wednesdays through Saturdays from 9AM to 2 PM. Donation drop-offs can be accepted Wednesdays through Fridays from 10AM to 1 PM. All donation procedures still apply; visit our donations page to find out more!

To Our Local Community,
As a community organization, we feel it is our position as good stewards to keep the health and well being of all members of our community in mind. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, and in keeping with the current regulations mandated by Governor Hogan for the State of Maryland, with guidance from Habitat for Humanity International, the CDC, and internal discussions, the following procedures have been implemented for our ReStore and Habitat affiliate.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore has named Bruce Young as Volunteer of the Month for January. Young volunteers at the ReStore every week, taking charge of the lighting department, assisting customers, and helping with donation intake.
For the past year Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County has been constructing a single family
home in Bishopville, Maryland. A dedication of this home for the Zlotorzynski family was held at 1 pm on
December 19, 2019. Ashley Zlotorzynski had the opportunity to cut the ribbon on the threshold of her new house,
and officially step inside as a homeowner for the first time with her four children. Welcoming the Zlotorzynski
family home for the holidays were members of the Habitat Worcester staff and Board of Directors, construction
partners, and volunteers. In addition to offering the family well wishes, Pastor Kyle McDaniel of Shore Community
Church delivered a blessing and dedication of the new home.
On December 11th Habitat for Humanity of Worcester County held a holiday gathering at the ReStore facility in order to recognize and appreciate board members, committee members, and volunteers who serve in a regular capacity for the Habitat for Humanity affiliate and the ReStore.
The Critical Repairs Program is accepting applications for our 4th round of 2019. Open application runs from October 1 through October 31.
